![]() ![]() Engineer Johnson stated that their group has completed "hydraulic analysis" of twenty-one square miles of the Maryland 450 Corridor Management, identifying four sites near Bell Branch where the water that remains in the soil regularly creates problems for motor vehicles traveling the roadway. The State Highway Administration's Corridor Management Task Force identified four key locations where they plan to replace the culverts to keep the road from collapsing. These are at the juncture of Hallmark Drive and Route 450, and further east at two points where the road is near the route of Bell Branch, and lastly east of the juncture of Pebblebrook Court and 450, before St. Stephen's Church Road meets Route 450. Crofton Middle School. Pictured are Linthicum Walks President Katie Dentler and GCC Vice President Torrey Jacobsen. Linthicum Walks dates to the mid-1700's and consists of a frame farmhouse built on
a stone foundation, embodying the distinctive Tidewater architectural characteristics of early Maryland. The grounds also contain a family cemetery. The Friends of Linthicum Walks at Crofton will
hold a General Membership meeting at the farmhouse later this Spring. Linthicum Walks is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as well as the Maryland Historic Trust. |
